MMM Toolkit

Welcome to the online Making the Most of Masters toolkit. The toolkit supports collaboration between stakeholders in providing opportunities for postgraduate masters students to undertake a Work Based Project for their Masters dissertation.

The toolkit includes advice, guidance and template documentation to support and facilitate the overall process of linking masters programmes,  external employer organisations; preparing and supporting students, academic and organisation project staff.

The projects, which are an integral part of the students’ academic programme, address real needs within an organisation. Projects can be from any discipline and economic area.

Whilst the focus of MMM is on Masters level projects (Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework level 11) these resources have been adapted for doctoral internships and may be adaptable for other levels.

Where indicated the above documents can be adapted to suit the needs of individual organisations and academic programmes. If the material is adapted, due credit should be given to the original authors, i.e. Making the Most of Masters, by either maintaining the name and logos or alternatively by using the following boilerplate text:
